My inspiration is Dave Ramsey. I have read everything from "Millionaire Next Door" to "Rich Dad Poor Dad" to "4 Hour Workweek" and Dave's "Total Money Makeover" was the only plan that made sense.
So following Dave's plan I am going to pay off my $800,000 worth of debt in 5 years or less! Ok so maybe not 5 years for all of it, but I am going to payoff our massive student loan debt and the car payment in 5 years and the house 2 years after.

Steps According Dave Ramsey
Step 1: Save $1,000
Step 2: Payoff our debt
Step 3: Save for 3-6 months worth of expenses
Step 4: Invest in retirement
Step 5: Payoff the house
Step 6: Give
We have our $1,000 emergency fund but we will be working on our debt snowball for years.
